Prepping for Your Appointment

To ensure the best results and a smooth procedure, please follow these guidelines:

 1. Hydration: Stay well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

 2. Avoid Tanning or Sunburn: Do not tan or have a sunburned face.

 3. Smoking: If you are a frequent smoker, be aware that the topical anesthetics used during treatment may not last as long and may lead to reduced pigment retention.

 4. Sensitivity Considerations: If you have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, note that it may affect your sensitivity tolerance to the procedure.

 5. Brow Maintenance:

 • No brow waxing, tinting, or threading for 3 days prior. (More natural hair growth yields better results.)

 • Do not resume any hair removal methods for at least 2 weeks after the procedure.

 6. Medications and Substances:

 • Avoid Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, or Advil/Ibuprofen 24 hours before your appointment.

 • Refrain from alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before your procedure (even decaf coffee and tea contain caffeine).

 7. Skin Products:

 • Stop using Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) products near the eyebrow area 2 weeks prior to your procedure and avoid them afterward.

 • Avoid sun exposure and tanning 1 week before the procedure.

 • If tinting your eyebrows, do so no sooner than 48 hours before or wait 2 weeks after the procedure.

 8. Injectables: Avoid Botox and fillers in the forehead, temple, and eye area 2 weeks prior unless you are a regular recipient.

 9. Skin Treatments: Avoid chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or facials for 4 weeks prior.

Permanent Makeup Is NOT Recommended for Clients Who:

 • Are pregnant or nursing

 • Have diabetes

 • Have viral infections or diseases

 • Have epilepsy

 • Use a pacemaker or have major heart problems

 • Have a tendency to develop keloids on the face

 • Have seborrheic dermatitis on the face

 • Have skin irritations or psoriasis near the treatment area (e.g., rashes, sunburn, acne)

 • Are sick (cold, flu, etc.)

 • Have used Accutane in the past year

 • Have used Retin A or Retinol in the past 3 months

Post-Treatment Care

Our advanced technique uses very fine, thin acupuncture needles, resulting in a healing time of less than one week. You can wash your face immediately after the procedure. However, to ensure proper healing and long-lasting results, please adhere to the following:

 1. Avoid Physical Irritation:

 • Do not use washcloths or pick/scratch the treated area.

 2. No Moisture Overload:

 • Avoid steam rooms, saunas, and swimming for 10 days.

 3. Makeup: Refrain from applying makeup to the treated area for 7 days.

 4. avoid swimming for at least 1 week.

 5. Skin Products: Do not use chemical peels, acid-based face products, or exfoliants on the treated area for 7 days.

These precautions are vital for achieving optimal healing and long-lasting results.

**Aftercare 1**

**Within the First 6-8 Hours**

The wound is still open, so it’s important to avoid water on the eyebrows for at least 6-8 hours, as the wound has not fully closed yet.

**Aftercare 2**

**Eyebrows After the First Day**

It is necessary to provide moisture to help the scabs fall off quickly.

After 24 hours, apply our after care gel to the eyebrows (it is recommended to use Tetracycline ointment as it has antibacterial properties in case infection).

 **Aftercare 3**

**To Prevent Swelling and Infection**

Use wich hazel solution to clean the eyebrows during the initial days before they fully scab and heal.

Avoid dirt and debris. Let the scabs fall off naturally. Do not scratch or peel the scabs, as this can cause pain and uneven color.

**Aftercare 4**

**To Avoid Fading of Eyebrow Color After Healing**

Avoid exposure to sunlight, as it can affect the healing process and cause color fading while the wound is still recovering.

At Realism Brows Academy, we strive to provide high-quality eyebrow services tailored to each client’s needs. However, due to individual skin types and healing processes, we do not guarantee the final healed results.

Please note the following:

 • Each client’s skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare routine play a significant role in the healed outcome.

 • Some clients may experience fading, uneven healing, or pigment retention issues, which are out of our control.

 • A touch-up session is highly recommended to perfect and maintain the desired results. Additional touch-ups may be needed for certain skin types.

By booking an appointment, you acknowledge and accept these terms. If you have any questions about the healing process, we are happy to guide you through proper aftercare to help achieve the best possible results.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
